Instructions for Use

◇ Preparation: Before use, be sure to stir the compound thoroughly up and down and check whether the curing agent has expired. The area to be potted should preferably be wiped clean with anhydrous ethanol, acetone, or other solvents.

◇ Weighing: Add 10 parts of the matching curing agent to every 100 parts by weight of the compound. Increasing or decreasing the amount of curing agent will correspondingly shorten or lengthen the pot life, and the properties of the cured rubber will also change slightly.

◇ Mixing: Thoroughly mix the two components, being careful to scrape the bottom and side walls of the mixing container.

◇ Degassing: To ensure that no bubble defects remain in the cured rubber, place the mixed compound together with its container in a vacuum degassing device and degas under vacuum. During vacuum degassing, the liquid level of the mixture may rise to 3-4 times the original volume before the bubbles automatically collapse. After the bubbles have collapsed, maintain the vacuum for 4-6 minutes, then release the vacuum.

◇ Potting: Pour the compound by hand or by machine; after pouring, it is best to degas under vacuum. Once the curing agent is added, the compound begins the curing crosslinking reaction, and the viscosity increases gradually over time. After 1 hour at room temperature, the viscosity may increase enough to make it difficult to use; therefore, the mixed compound should be used within 40 minutes.

◇ Curing: The compound essentially completes curing after 3-4 hours at room temperature and reaches full cure after 24 hours. If high electrical performance is required, relevant testing and subsequent operations are recommended one week later. Alternatively, after initial curing into rubber (i.e., after 24 hours at room temperature), heat curing at 80℃×2-4 hours can be used to accelerate complete curing.
